How ASICS India Scaled to 500K+ Organic Visitors in Under 12 Months

In the world of e-commerce today, it’s more important than ever to build long-term organic exposure. It looks at how ASICS India (asics.co.in) went from having almost no organic traffic to getting more than 500,000 organic visitors a month while cutting more than half of its paid search traffic.

The Challenge

Paid ads made up a big part of ASICS India’s website in July 2024. Search engines didn’t send many people to the site because it didn’t rank for many keywords and didn’t have a strong SEO base.

  • No organic traffic at all
  • Every month, more than 260,000 people come because of paid search traffic.
  • Low-quality backlinks: Not many of them
  • Keyword Rankings: Not very many

The goal was clear: to build a long-lasting traffic engine that didn’t depend on paid ads and was based on SEO.

Solution

To improve ASICS India’s organic visibility, we used a phased SEO approach that included fixing technical issues, adding more content, targeting keywords, and building links.

Technical SEO:

  • Started by making the most important technical parts of the site better:
  • Changes that make mobile use easier
  • Very important for the web: pages load faster
  • Changing the layout of URLs and making internal links better
  • Starting to use schema markup

This served as a solid base for both people and search engines.

Optimising Terms and Content:

Then we did keyword study to find people who are likely to buy:

  • Used business keywords like “asics running shoes for men” to improve category and product pages.
  • Supporting material that has been published (blogs, buying guides)
  • Unique long-tail, brand, and category terms for your business

These things were used to rank the page by May 2025:

  • There are over 43,200 terms in total.
  • Search Engines: 6,710 in the Top 10
  • A total of 1,488 in the top three

3. Domain Reputation and Backlinks

To get more reputation, we started a focused backlink strategy:

  • Contact useful blogs, sports, and exercise sites.
  • To get people to talk about your business, use digital PR campaigns.

Up until the end of May 2025:

  • More than 1,400 sites point to this page.
  • Over 17,400 sites link back to this one.
  • Power Score: up to 42

Organic Change

As visits from search engines began to rise, paid campaigns were cut back on purpose. Traffic and session interest stayed high even though they spent less on ads. This was because SEO traffic was better.

Results

In less than a year:

  • Every month, ASICS India got more than 500,000 people who found them on their own.
  • Advertisements cost a lot less because paid visits dropped by over 56%.
  • For thousands of high-intent product keywords, the company now has to compete with big marketplaces.

In the end, this growth wasn’t just about getting more people to come. Users spent more time on the site and looked at more pages each session, which was great for participation. In other words, SEO was not only bringing in a lot of traffic, but traffic that was very interested in converting.

Conclusion

It’s possible to quickly increase a website’s organic reach while depending less on paid ads if you have the right SEO base. This includes technical structure, strategic content, building authority, and tracking performance.

When e-commerce companies want to grow in a way that doesn’t harm the environment, ASICS India is a great example of what can happen when they do SEO right.
